How many vans does it takes to cover an ass?

Good question. How many vans does it?? Chris' gig was kool. Although Tim and I were calling for an encore and will possibly be seeking remuneration for backing singer fees. I want money. Now! ... and its not just because Denmark is so fricking expensive. Never mind.

Last night was kool. After Chris gig. Nat Time me & co were dying for a slash. We staggered around central Copenhagen trying to find sowhere to pee! Thinking that of course the Danish utopian metro system would have a world class toilet. But no. It didn't. By this Time Riisager was suffering severe urinal blood poisoning and Natalie wanted a shield to protect her while she peed in the street. And then the ultimate question. How many vans does it take to cover an ass? My ass? Tims ass? or natalies ass? Multiple vans methinks. It wasnt going to be pretty.

Meanwhile after sitting crosslegged on the metro for a number of stops, we realised that we didn't have enough tickets so we had to try and blag and then miraculously all the tickets found there way into our hands. weird.

Before hand however, everyone needed to pee in the field next to the tube at Islands Brygge. Me and tim able to go quickly with the girls having to squat next to a tractor. Classy ladies! You know who you are!!

The English party in Amager was ok. Wasnt like the law but certain people got incredibly drunk!!

On the way home we were on the bus and some bastard Dane puked on the floor and it splattered on my shoes! Git. But we had to get off the night bus at 4:30 am because certain people - who shall remain nameless - had to "get some air" and had to stagger the next 3 bus stops. Meanwhile we needed a kebab! And had no money. However, little did I know that Danish cashpoints are closed between 2 - 6 am. How bloody stupid.

Although we did finally managed to get a kebab, with some random Danes calling my Frodo. Im going to take it as a compliment now. Elijah Wood hasnt done too badly.

The next sequences isvolved watching some "Danish TV", anti hangover tablets.. and the rest as they say is history.

I woke up this morning with 3 in my bed. Hmmm time to change the subject

On a more positive note, I had a run in with the British Embassy after Chrissy lost her passport. Stupid cow at the Embassy was so patronising.

I want her sacked.

Every one should be able to see opera!

Opera - incredible. Bought a ticket for £4.50! Had to stand at the back at the top - but bloody incredible. The beer cost me more than the ticket, but Alex, Freya and I were mixing with the aristocracy of Danish society, in this near perfect Communist system.

When we bought the tickets we asked why the tickets were so cheap? Duh! "because everyone should be able to see opera!..sir. Stupid question. The Danish government owns the opera houses which is incredible, and fund it so ordinary people can go. A government which educates it people with culture. My kind of country.

Just for the record - Tosca is incredible. But everyone dies.

Want to go again.

Randomity

Random random random. I always seem to write random stuff like "Why was I forced to defend Guantanamo Bay in my terrorism class? Grrr! Impossible. I felt a building resentment towards one of the right wing lecturers. But hey! Im a lawyer! Theres no such thing as the moral high ground....is there?

I hope so.

Books are finally starting to arrive and this means that also I can get my ass into gear and do some work! Think I might head off to the black diamond today and do some. Things have veen swirling around in my head for ages. But all those things that you cant actually put your finger on. "What am I going to do with my life" sorta crap. Ive decided Im way to young to start on a career... it would literally be suicide for me, and I would proably bring down the company that I was working for while Im at it.

SO what to do? Ive come up with a plan. I want to do a Masters in Dublin, or maybe work in a ski resort would be kool or work for my parents barrister friend in Dublin. Either way - I want to have a good time. I think if I dont do things when I'm young then I am taking shortcuts.... and I dont want to be cut short in later life. Jesus this is getting heavy.

On a lighter note, I think that Im becoming a facebook addict. Damn you highly addictive facebook!!! Grrr. I need to be more positive. Im going to the opera tomorrow. Ha!! The opera! Its going to be rediculous. Im just going in my jeans. And if they dont like it then they can kiss my ass. I never liked Tosca anyway. Still loving CPH. At the moment - I dont miss Sheffield one bit. How can I? I'm having the time of my life.

I need some alcohol

The morning after the night before

Question: why is it that I always seem to write on my blog when I'm recovering after the night before?

Answer:... Hmm tough one.

Crazy night!!! So we had a family meal at 11pm (which I cooked with my own fair hands!) and then proceeded to get totally battered at the dinner table, just between the six of us. wohey! Although by the time we finally managed to get our act together at 1pm and get out of the door, Estel was so drunk she could barely walk. Then we realised we had missed the day bus and then had to wait for the fricking night bus.

Jenny the alcoholic was ready before everyone else - weird

On the night bus Estel managed to fall off her seat and Syanns rape alarm went off and some Danish bloke told Sergi to shut the hell up. Then to top it all off, the only weekend of the year and the Metro was shut for maintainence. Bloody hell. Be the way we are aiming to get to the Law Party.

Before photo:

So eventually we make it. What do we find, a nightclub on the top of some abandoned office tower on the 8th floor with and open top roof party! Bloody incredible!! I had such an incredible time. Amzing, everyone was buzzing! Really cannot describe what a good time I had. Beer was expensive.. but when isnt it? We danced danced and danced. Estel was v. drunk but then so was everyone. Banging time, and we hardcored it until the end at 5am. Crazy stuff.

The best is yet to come: The journey home. Time left the club 5am, time I clibed into bed 7am. Why you ask? Because we thought the metro opened again at 5am. But no. God had decided to take a giant crap on us, and the metro was closed until 5am...monday morning. Faantastic.

What happened next can only be described as a monty python sketch: As the group of 10 of us walked from one bus stop to the next, the girls still in their heels *cough Natalie* and Sergi moaning how cold he was. From one bus stop to the next only to realise that the bus we actually needed was due in six weeks time. Meanwhile Jenny, Chris Natalie and Estel decided to completely lower the tone of the conversation.

Flithy!

After running to yet another bus we decided to get the bus, and by now craving for a McBreakfastr are kicking in. You dont want to get between Chris and his McHangover either..know what I mean. So at Norrpeort station we parted our seperate ways, me with Clazone inhand, Chris with something inhand, Sergi still moaning about the cold, and Natalie decidedly tired managed to wing the way home.

Epic Journey ended. Moral of the story?

Bring your bike

Now I'm on facebook/tuborgtown Im on a role. So I might as well go for the kill and write down exactly what I've been up to/thinking lately.

I need to do some wrk. I still feel like on holiday. This is not good. I need to do some wrk but none of my books have arrived. This is somewhat frustrating!! Amazon have already had to resend another book becuase the first lot got lost. Fantastic. On a positive note, I got confirmation from Dansk Post that it is at the post office! Hurrah! - Now can do some work. Great (!)

Now I dont feel quite so much in the mood to do some work. Funny that.

Lebara is pissing me off. Big time. OK its cheap, but this shouldnt be at the expense of not getting text messages! This has happned alot now. Why didnt I listen to Anna.

- Im switching to Telia. Period.

Chris is buzzing at the moment. His music is going so well for him now. Im really proud of him. He has worked so hard and its great to see that his hard work is starting to pay dividends. He got an email from this massive perosn in the music industry this moring. Havent got a clue who he is. But then again I have the worst muscical taste ever. His gigs are coming up soon, so at the moment our whole house is buzzing.

I thought while I'm on the subject, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, that the people here, are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They honestly do just accept people for who they are. I cant remember the last time when I was this happy.

On a lighter note: Q-Management need to get their finger out - after I broke the sofa. Hmph

Final question: Where should I go for New Year?

To be continued.....

This is BBC World...

Why do I always wake up with BBC World on the TV? Hmmm blogs are always funny, because there is so much I want to write but you can't actually remember what... it makes sense to me(!) Im still loving CPH, even if it is really dream like.

Ive had such an amazing time here, and already Im starting to get depressed at the fact that I will have to leave at some point. No go on the year long thing. While Ive been in Copenhagen, although everything has been a complete whirlwind, I had a chance to sit and think about life and what I want etc... this is starting to get heavy. Why am I writing this on my blog?

Irish Claire was here last week which was really kool. It was wicked to see here again after such a long time. - I want some photos - give me some goddamn photos!!! It was a blast although as the host I did feel alittle disappointed that it wasnt as wild as I had planned it to be. But hey, even the best plans dont always go according to. - But I think she had a wicked time. And we finished the state visit my rounding it off with thte traditional visit to tivoli to visit. Which as usual was amaziing. Hurray for HC Anderson.

Riots riots riots. Where to begin. Getting back to the "This is BBC World from London" theme, I was watching the riots in Budapest. My G'Dad phoned me to say that "good job you werent there" while at the same time I was thinking "i wish I was in Budapest". Brings back memories of the first few nights in Denmark, when we all went to a MASSIVE street party in some random suburb o CPH. - which surprise surpsrise turned into a riot and had all the riot police etc that went with it. Ah. My first riot. Although we thought it was probably a good time to remove ourselves from the battlefield at the earliest possible moment! *SIGH*.

I few more things I just I would remind myself of mefore I forget. I got my first bike yesterday! Correction. I got my first usable bike yesterday!! Ben came with me to help choose but in the end the little guy in the shop wasnt asking alot for what we both thought was a pretty decent bike and I paid the grand total of 796 kroner. Which is about 80 quid. Not bad methinks. Although I could ride it because I hadnt got any lights. ..... Although if truth be told Im still putting off riding it till today because Im bricking it about the bloody bicycle motorways in CPH!!!! AH!

In other news my mentor took me to ikea to get some stuf for my room, which she took me in her swanky Freelander. Swish! Cheers Camilla. Camilla really didnt have to take to take me, and I am really really appreciative that she has taken such an interst to look after me. Although it does seem that half my my female friends have taken it upon themselves to adopt me and make sure that Im eating properly. Weird.

This post is going to go on for ages, but I dotn care. Like Jenny when shes started to drink. I have to go the whole hog.

Other things on my mind.

1. I hope Olivia is having a balst in Sheffield after her first week of being a fresher there. Fingers crossed. I know how hard it is being the new person on the first night totally away from home

2. I visited, with Chris and Jenny, my old teacher from Lower Halstow, Anna Jeppeson in the middle of the Danish countryside in which she threw a small party for all her old stusdents which she hold every year, wwhich was cool because its important to retain that link with the past. Although Jenny and Chris moaned about the price of the ticket and in the end the bloody train broke down and we had to catch buses. - So much for Danish efficiency!!

3. My bloody books havent arrived from England. Bloody amazon. - Im considering taking legal action. went to the bloody post office and they havent had it. To use the legal term. "Shit happens!"

4. My english phone decided to reject my danish sim card. bloody great! SO then I had to spend another 300 kroner on a shitty phone which I didnt really need.

Hmmmm Im beginning to use the word bloddy a bit to much in this post so I think its time I signed off. If I dont post again its becuase ive been killed of the trecherous Danish Cycle Lanes!

Ciao x

PS I really need to stop getting the holiday feeling and start doing some work.

Cloud 9

So much and so little has happened since my last post. I dont really know where to start. Well, starters we have all settled into 174 Norrebrogade, and its just amazing, its like a designer apt. So whats the catch? There is no catch. Everything is perfect, apart from the fact that I find myself spending far too much money on food because all our freinds are always at our flat! CRAZY stuff! Lectures have started, and stopped and started again. But we have been having so many parties at Norrebrogade, getting drunk with 100 other people is NOT starting to wear off.

While I'm on the subject, I thought that I might add hw incredible the people are, Danish and the rest of the ERASMUS students. The are SO nice and everyone here is looking for the same thing... I think .... and Im not just talking about sex (you know who you are!). Everyone here is open to everything and new experiences. Bloody hell this post is starting to get heavy. Blah blah blah. In conclusion house amazing, people amazing, having time of life, and seriously considering whether I can stay here for the entire year.

I have been learning in such an incredible environment - and its just so.... Danish. Everything is so efficient, even if the average age in my class is 28. Why cant England be like this!

Am I in dead?

I woke up this morning, and for a few fleeting moments, I had to think whether I had died and gone to heaven. Dazzled by the broken light through the blinds, it was amplified by the clean crisp white walls, and the silver and white furniture and bedspreads. Now you know, why I thought I might be in heaven!

Now we have finally moved into the new apt. Its amazing. Completely renovated, its like a designer apt. Its so kool. I cant tell you how happy I am to be in this place. CPN and the flat are incredible.

Any way i'm back from my whistlestop Eastern European city sprint! To give you the lowdown,

Copenhagen - Bratislava (Slovakia)
Bratislave - Budapest (Hungary)
Budapest - Vienna (Austria)
Vienna - Bratislava (Slovakia)
Bratislava - Copenhagen (Denmark)

It was a wicked trip, although it did have its ups and downs. I loved it but i wished I had more time in every city. I felt i was really skimming the cities, rather than being enriched by them, but as Anna said you could be hit by a bus the next day, so i guess it was good trying to see as much as possible. I loved Budapest, less so by Vienna, but by then, we were all exhausted. Enjoyed being interegated by the Slovak immigration guards (surprise surprise) - Why do I always look like the Slovak Republics most wanted terrorist!!!

Pics to follow.
