Train this chaos, turn it into light

As ever so much done in so little time. So what has been happening in the typical life of a hobbit? Mental note - only 3 frodo sightings this week. So this weekend was a bit weird.

So we all set off off to the cruise to Norway which was docked at the harbour. OK. Thinking if we arrived with 40 minutes to spare we might aviod the houses usual bad luck/lateness *cough catalans*. But no is was't to be. We waited at the platform at Norrebro wating for the train, and we got on the next train to Nordhavn, and we so happy about it that we took a number of cool photos! So the train sped through the CPH suburbs with Danish efficiency. - Too efficient - we looked at delight at the cruise ship and then the sight quickly disappeared as did our hoope of noartding the ship. The ticket guy informed us We had got on a regional train! - Next stop half an hour.

Ah crap.

Speeding through the Danish countryside, Jenny, Estel Sergi Chris Anna and my own hopes for the weekend were wuickly dashed. TUrning to dispair after we calculated the time needed to get back to the habour. Wasnt funny. I was already trying to make arrangements to fly to Oslo. - Nobody was too impressed with my suggestion - eek.

Frantic phonecalls we being made in every language to everyone we knew to try and hold the boat which was leaving at 4:30. By this time it was 4:15. Time was rapidly sliding away. Ben was conferencing with Chris - at this point chatting up the checkin officer methinks in an attempt to hold the boat which at this point everyone was deparing at the sense of a lost weekend. The latest update was not looking good, but then a quick text Ben said the boat would leave 5pm sharp!

Wow, incredible feeling suddenly mobilised we were ready to go, bundled off the regional train onto an S-tog, which continued to Nordhavn - at this point imagine hardcore electronic club beats for speed - bum bum bum. Ran off the train.

With Chris still protecting the all important beer keg, that Ben was desparate to consume.

Time check 4:47. But still had a 15 mintue run to the boat. Grapping Estels luggage I ran out thr train persude by Chris hot my heels later to be overtaken. Catalans and Jenny fast behind shouting abuses to the sky for our bad luck. Giving it everthiing we got we arrived sweating like pigs at the terminal with 2 minutes to go. Swish

I knew we would make it.

So began a cool strange cruise with the best food I had tasted for a long time. Very nice. Everyone drinking hard and early, and then entering the Ship club later that afternoon. Very kool . Although I did feel the need for a siesta which rapidly turened into a small sleep to be sandwiched later in my bunk. Cheers for that. No names mentioned!! lol

Seth I might add has the constitution of a concrete elephant. period. managed to consume an entire bottle of rum that evening. Natalie and Christina and Alex were all similarly intoxicated. I wont mention their antics. The are too ashamed as it is!

he survived and lived to tell the tale.

Breakfast was incredible, as we sailed up the Norweigen Fjord towards Oslo, - very nice.

Oslo was weird, It is a weird city. Very small methinks, with no much character - lving there would send me crazy and to be honest there wasnt really much to see. What we did see though was amazing. Jochen, Alex and myself climbed the mountain (via a train) to the top of Oslo to see a ski jump (dont ask) not because I love skiiing which I do, but rather because of the fantstic view of Oslo and the Fjord which was truly breath taking.

Made me just sit and think.

No time for that as Freya would say! Time for action so myself, Jochen, Bev and Freya, visted a very strange but beautiful park, full of weird and amazing sculpture . Too weird to describe , you have to see the pictures.

Ending the afternoon in a rather expensive coffee place. Justy wnjoying eachothers company.
That night everyone with the exception of Jenny and Chris was very seasick. Urgh, I think I will move away from Oslo. Just before I do i might add that the entire day after everyone still thought they were on the boat. damn my balance!

Back to reality. Had lectures yesterday which really kool coz i really enjoy terrorism and arguing with the stupid American who doesn't believe in the concept of proportionality. I really need to do some work. I'm going to be strict with myself now. Promise.

Went to Stampys "party" yesterday which was kool. A party for an absent friend. Nice thought. Even if we did have to wear party hats. eek!

Rounded the day off with a quick visit to see my mates Snow Patrol who were playing at Vega with Nat, Chrissie and later Chris. They were incredible. Am now an even bigger fan of Snow Patrol. Oi Liv! Have you seen them? Very kool. Although the Northern Irish football supporters who were playing the night before attempted to start a mini riot at the end. Really enjoyed myself. Classic

Got my residence permit today! They cant throw me out of the country. - We'll have to see about that.

Snowpatrol lead singer said that CPH is an amazingly beautiful city and the people living there are incredibly lucky. He's right.

I am.
